Nonoo F/W 2012 - NYFW Part I

On Friday I had the pleasure of attending the Nonoo F/W 2012 presentation for NYFW at the Standard Hotel.

The collection, in short, was stunning!  Misha Nonoo, the designer behind the line, focuses on impeccable tailoring and details, and the fruits of her labor were apparent.

Channeling a young, Parisian sophisticate, the collection featured crisp, tailored pieces, rich textures, drapery, and playful touches of lace, sequins and fur in vibrant jewel tones and neutrals.

 Beautifully refined, sophisticated and glamorous yet still youthful and fresh, the Nonoo F/W 2012 collection is a must have for the chic, stylish girl with discerning tastes.

 I was also able to sit down and have a brief pre-show chat with the designer, to gain some insight into her current collection, what inspires the designer, and her views on fashion.

I absolutely loved the draped jersey maxi dress, the fur embellishments (how gorgeous is the garnet shade, and the belted vest with fur collar?!) and flared-hem skirt with side lace detailing, however the standout for me was the black coat with black shearling collar

A closer, albeit blurry, look at two choice pieces: the shearling collared jacket and the jacket with garnet-colored fur...although how great also, is the blouse to the left, with the sequined sleeves??
Cannot wait for the collection to be available!
