New Direction

For some time now, I have been contemplating whether to add personal style posts onto the blog. I started this project simply as a showcase for all the things I love and adore in the world of fashion and style, and never really intended for my personal style or styling work to be featured.  I am so pleased with the way in which Je Veux...J'Adore... has evolved over the past year of it's existence, and am hopeful it will only continue to grow from here!

With that being said, I've always been one to embrace change rather than shy away from it and introducing a new direction into Je Veux...J'Adore... is doing just that.

I am excited to announce this newest addition to the blog and  in the meantime, here's a sneak peek below from my first upcoming style post!

Laced-Up Lover

I've always loved the intricate detail of lacing, whether it be in the back of a corseted dress, in the tying of ice skates, or even pointe shoes.

So it comes as no surprise that I'm fiending for a pair of heels that mimic the same laced-up loveliness!

And while some of these technically buckle rather than lace, the aesthetic is still there and you get the point.

Le Little Black Jacket

It's time for a little word association, fashion-style.

When one hears the word Chanel, what's the very first thing to come to mind?
I'm willing to bet it's a tweed jacket; often imitated, and one of many symbols of the design house, it stands as a testament to Madame Coco's timeless style.

Paying homage to the iconic piece, Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld have teamed up to create The Little Black Jacket. Not scheduled for public release until August 15th, the book will feature a collection of images showcasing the impossibly chic and notorious style icons of the fashion-set (past, present and in the making), as well as a few famous faces; each wearing- you guessed it - a little black Chanel jacket.

Do not let the title fool you however...though it may be called a little black jacket, this piece (and book, to be sure) is truly of legendary proportions.

And rightfully so.

Karl Lagerfeld + Carine Roitfeld x Chanel = Pure, Unadulterated Fashion Magic
